These elevators are a bit of a mystery. The layout of the elevator bank itself is similar to the DoubleTree Financial District and the Element by Westin nearby, both of which have Fujitec elevators. This hotel’s building is also strange, as it contains 4 hotel brands in one building, this, a Staybridge Suites, a Four Points by Sheraton, and the “Distrikt Hotel”. There is a building just like this one block south, but with 3 hotel brands in one building. It’s also 32 floors like this one, and they have confirmed Fujitec elevators. The one big difference here (besides the cabs and layout) is that these have Monitor TR fixtures, and the confirmed Fujitecs have EPCO/Adams Survivor Plus, and the Fujitecs at the DoubleTree Financial District and the Element by Westin also have Survivor Plus. These are also strangely bottom-drive traction according to NYC Buildings records, but I haven’t seen any bottom-drive traction elevators that go this high, so I’m not too sure about that. Plus, bottom-drive traction isn’t really common in newer elevator systems, and this building is only a few years old, as well as the elevators. According to NYC Buildings, Fujitec has done no inspections on these elevators, and I’ve never seen them install bottom-drive traction, but I’m still leaning towards them as the installers of these.
